Hi All

Testing FT8 from HA land this afternoon as HA/G3WDG on 20m.

I have 'call 1st' ticked but autoseq is not responding to callers to my CQ.

Was this what Mike's patch was supposed to correct? I have not yet tried
his patch.

Yes...problem is you need the patch on both sides. So until the next release candidate is out compound signs aren't a good idea.

I think you'll find compound signs flat don't work in autoseq and won't work until both sides have the patched version to fix it.And everybody is using autoseq.
Problem is the standard messages strip the prefix/suffix and you end up with callsigns that don't match on both sides in subsequent messages.
Patching one side only fixed the one side...the other side still has the same problem...doesn't matter which side you're on.
CQ W9MDB/QRPW9MDB G4WJS IO91 -- my callsign doesn't match and won't progress...
CQ G4WJS IO91G4WJS W9MDB/QRPW9MDB G4WJS -01 -- my callsign doesn't match nowG4WJS W9MDB R-01 -- and it doesn't match on his side either
Catch 22.  I think you can progress on your side by double clicking but the other side probably won't do that and wonder why autoseq isn't working.

Hi Mike

Well, i've made some QSOs already even with the prefix stripped off in
report messages, but I have had to double click the caller to start off
autoseq. Then autoseq progresses OK except it doesn't send a 73 message.

Would the patch applied at my end at least get autoseq replying to a
caller to my CQ. If so, I will try it - please send me the link again as
that email is not on my pc here.
